Sevier County Wildfire Update - December 13, 2016

We desperately need Rotarians to volunteer to help work at the Boyd’s Bear site. Please get a group of folks and go help. Yesterday we had too few people working to do all that needs to be done. There were long lines of folks waiting to get stuff but we had no “shoppers” to help them. To help just report to the Boyd’s Bear site at TRAFFIC LIGHT #8 in Pigeon Forge. This is the southernmost traffic light in Pigeon Forge. Boyd’s Bear is the big red building on the left (east side) of the road.

Do not send used clothes, used shoes, water, or toys. In fact, we are no longer soliciting donations of “stuff.” Our warehouses are full. Other than some immediate needs for food we are not accepting bulk deliveries for anything. If you already have gathered some stuff go ahead and bring it but there is no longer a need to collect things.
Please note that this Thursday (Dec 15th) the center will be closed to victims but we need volunteers to help organize some “stuff” at the site. That would be a good day to help.
