In Rotary a club assembly is when the members get together to discuss the status of the club. What’s going on, what do we have for funds, upcoming events, etc.
Our Rotary Club holds a club assembly four times a year (every quarter) for the members to discuss matters of concern with the club.
The Assembly meeting will be in lieu of a speaker presentation meeting ~ we will try to maximize attendance of the membership . The club assembly may not be of interest for outside visitors : however it may be just the catalyst to inspire new members
The intent of the meeting is to:
- Discuss the club budget
- Discuss committee activities
- Discuss disbursements
- Give members a greater awareness of how club plans are actually implemented (a source for a hot topic)
- Discuss ongoing programs
- Periodic review of the club's strengths and weaknesses
- Informal discussions on current topics
The most important thing about the club assemblies is that it gives each Rotarian a chance to speak their mind about a topic that is near and dear to their heart in the club.
