Paul Harris founded Rotary in 1905, now Rotary International boasts over1.2 million members across the globe. The Paul Harris Fellowship, Rotary's highest recogniton was established in 1957 as a way to honor people who have made a significant contribution to Rotary or their community. Many notable figures have been named Paul Harris Fellows, including Pearl Bailey, Bill and Melinda Gates, Jimmy Carter, Boris Yeltsin, James Lovel and Dr. Jonas Salk.
