This is becoming a welcome tradition!
 
UNBC has hosted an annual "Back-to-school" pancake breakfast for a few years now, and they have called upon our -ahem - expertise in grilling pancakes to help. The weather is always definitely autumnal, but there's enough shelter just outside the atrium for us to get the job done while the students tuck in.

 

2025

3rd September and we're back at it. Perfect weather, and the folks at UNBC had got pretty much everything set up for our crack team, led by Tim Hall - Pam Devereux, Bill Clapton, Simon Turner, and event rookie Chris Curry (who came through the ordeal still smiling!)

2024

Delighted to be part of College of New Caledonia Quesnel and UNBC South-Central Fall Orientation Week by way of once again lending our pancake making and grilling expertise (OK, “expertise” might be pushing it but no reports of ill health…so far!)

2023

Just the two pictures as we had a crew of just two Pancake Artists: Paul Mednis and Richard Palmer. Grim weather, but they stuck to the task!

 

 

2020-2022 - no events were held in 2020 or 2021 due to restrictions associated with the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2022, local caterer Blue Jay Acres stepped into the fray but was not available the next year as owner Ashley Schmidt and her husband Dave welcomed son Tanner into their lives...so we were back at it in 2023! 

 

2019

They keep calling us back so we must be doing a decent job!

2018

7th September, we didn't keep count of how many were served but they all seemed happy! Hope they all stayed away for class...

2017

8th September, nearly 200 served thanks mainly to our excellent host.
