What is "Get Flocked!"
During the COVID-19 pandemic, we struggled to come up with fundraising ideas. Sometimes, we were concerned our idea would simply take away from something similar already being run in Quesnel; other times, it was the general weariness with anything virtual - we were Zoomed out!
Let the record show that Rotarian Laurey-Anne Roodenburg came up with the idea of "Get Flocked!" and, for the month of June 2021, teams of Flockers made deliveries all over town, even using window-clings to Flock some businesses. It was great to raise some funds for the local Starfish Back Pack program; it was even better to help return smiles to faces.
2022...
After the success of our inaugural year, 2021, we welcomed back our flamingos for people and businesses to mark any special occasion - birthday, anniversary, retirement, friendship...whatever the reason, the flamingos were flocking June 21st to July 23rd, with proceeds raised going to the local Starfish Pack program.

The specifics will change from year to year, but here's pretty much everything you need to know... We'll update details ahead of the flamingos arrival in Quesnel, but the dedicated email inbox will remain active year-round.
