March 30, 2017 - Tom Perry, Snowbird Rotarian

Tom Perry, recently returned from Southern California, regaled club members with his recent winter adventures.  Tom and wife, Gail, spend the winter at the Fountain of Youth Spa and Resort.  Filled with motor and more permanent modular homes, the Resort is home to about 1,000 during the winter months, many from Rupert.  Daytime temperatures range from 20-25 and it was very dry there, despite rain and flooding in other parts of California where, thankfully, water reservoirs are now full.  The closest cities are Palm Springs and Yuma AZ approximately 1-1/2 hour drive away.

You can find tarantulas, rattlesnakes and if you are very lucky a desert turtle which is very rare.

There were also several sightings of our own Mary Ellen Marhsall!
