Longest Running Fundraiser?

The La Grange Rotary Pancake Supper has been going on for more than half a century.

In fact, it may be the oldest Rotary fundraising event in our entire district.

The Pancake Supper goes back at least to 1959. An article in the Fayette County Record in October of 1959 says the tickets were $1 for adults, 50 cents for students, and kids second grade and below were free.

The profits were used to pay off Rotary's share of the swimming pool -- whatever that means!

Plans are already being made for the 2013 version of the Pancake Supper. Let's make it the best yet.
