KETTLE CAMPAIGN

December is a special time of year for most families in our City, but not all. And Yellowhead Rotarians understand that. As a result, the club has taken on a the responsibility during the past few years to man the Salvation Army kettles during the Christmas season, inspite of the sometimes chilly weather.

Bruce Kirk, the Executive Director of the Salvation Army recognizes these volunteers who man the kettles every year.

"The level of volunteerism that we've seen over the last few years has been very significant," said Kirk. "We're seeing about 800 people that are signing up for kettle shifts and they're doing everything they can to represent us and those that we serve so well. And above all we want to thank the people of Prince George for their generous and faithful support of the Salvation Army services all year round."
