The Prince George Yellowhead Rotary Club is holding its 9th Annual “Taste of India — A Celebration of Cuisine, Culture
& Community” cultural event, at the Prince George Civic Centre on Saturday, March 2, 2019.
The Taste of India event is such an enormous success that, to date, it has raised over $430,000 for Rotary initiatives locally
and internationally, including the:
• SD 57(Prince George) Meals Program
• Prince George Kordyban Cancer Lodge
• Elizabeth Fry Society – Amber House and Family
Resource Center Preschool
• The Rotary Clubhouse (phase 1 & 2) at
Big Brothers Big Sisters
• Playground equipment for Big Brothers and Big Sisters
• Blackburn Bike Skills Park

• Renovations at Elder Citizens Recreation Association,
AimHi and Girl Guides Nukko Lake Camp
• Amreli, India Education and Sanitation project
• A Dining Hall and Library at a school in
Mgutwa, Tanzania
• Surgical Skills Education in Uganda and the
• Rotary International Polio Eradication Project,
Polio Plus

To honour our ongoing commitment to children and youth, locally and internationally, this year our funds will go
toward the following:
• Local projects, including renovations at the St Patrick’s House and Prince George Public Library (Nechako Branch)
• Partnership with FullSoul Canada to provide medical supplies for labour and delivery in Uganda
