On January 31, 2020, 26 students at Giddings Elementary were honored for exemplifying the character trait of Tolerance. One Student, Noah Villegas, was honored for the previous character trait of Responsibility. Sir Cass of the Knights of the Guild was present to present medallions to the champions at the ceremony. The knighting ceremony is a part of the EarlyAct/FirstKnight (EAFK) program at GES which is in its seventh year this school year. EAFK focuses on teaching the virtues embodied in the knightly code of chivalry to the students for 10 minutes each school day and putting those virtues into action. EAFK is sponsored by the Rotary Club of Giddings at no cost to the school. Congratulations to the students and their families!
