2015/05/29 EA/FK Knighting Ceremony

On May 29, 2015 Sir Cass of the Knights of the Guild honored 29 students at Giddings Elementary for exemplifying the trait of Service. In addition to the students, Principal Charlotte Penn was knighted for all of her service and dedication to GES and to the EA/FK program.  The knighting ceremony is a part of the EarlyAct/FirstKnight (EAFK) program at GES which is in its second year this year. EAFK focuses on teaching the virtues embodied in the knightly code of chivalry to the students for 10 minutes each school day and putting those virtues into action. EAFK is sponsored by the Rotary Club of Giddings at no cost to the school. Congratulations to the students and their families!
