2018/05/06 District 5870 Conference of Rotary Clubs
Posted by Joel Lopez on May 04, 2018

Rotary Club of Giddings President Joel Lopez was knighted by Sir Cass at the District 5870 Rotary Conference in San Antonio this past weekend. Sir Cass Knighted all Clubs present who have Early Act / First Knight in their local schools. Joel was knighted in place of Wesley Keng, EA/FK Club Representative, who was unable to attend. The Rotary Club of Giddings is very proud to have the EA/FK program in the Giddings Elementary School and as a result the students and staff at Giddings Independent School District have benefited tremendously.
2018/05/06 District 5870 Rotary Hall of Fame Recipient - Brandi Lowe
Posted by Joel Lopez on May 06, 2018
2018 District 5870 Hall of Fame Recipient, Brandi Lowe

Letter submitted to District 5870 by President Joel Lopez:  Brandi Lowe has been a member of the Rotary Club of Giddings since March 11, 2011 and has been an instrumental part of this organization. Brandi has served in multiple positions and was the president of the club for the 2015 - 2016 year. Brandi displays leadership in organizing and setting up two of our fundraising events. The Emmett Hannes 5k allows the club to give scholarships to graduating seniors. The Rotary Pancake Supper funds the Early Act / First Knight program at the elementary school. The leadership she displays in organizing and setting up for these events clearly display the "Service Above Self" and her commitment not just to our organization, but to the future of our youth. In addition to being a Rotarian, Brandi is a mother with a young child, a wife and a career-oriented woman. In today's world to juggle each of these means putting something aside. She gives of her time so others may benefit. It was no surprise in 2016 when she received the Rotarian of the Year award. In my opinion every club should have their own Brandi and we are certainly proud of ours. On behalf of the Rotary Club of Giddings I would like to nominate Brandi Lowe for District 5870 Roll of Fame. I am very thankful for your consideration in doing so. God Bless!
2018/04/26 Fun Night

The Rotary Club of Giddings is excited to announce that Fun Night will be held on August 10, 2018. The Rotary Club of Giddings has voted to continue the tradition. All of the good food, drinks, prizes and fun that you have come to expect over the years won’t stop. Plan on joining us for a night of fun on Friday, August 10th and to see which one of our ticket holders will win $10,000.00. See you there!
