Fellow Rotarian Tom Minor graduated from the University of North Texas in 1964 with a double major in economics and government. He met his wife, Lori, during Peace Corps training and they served as teachers in Liberia, West Africa for two years.  Upon returning they settled in the Chicago area and taught school in Tinley Park, Illinois. Tom taught history and world geography in a middle school. He earned a Masters Degree in history from Chicago State University.
