Rotary International
Significant Achievement Award
for Rotary Year 2012-2013
Award from the Robert Dilworth MOWW Chapter
in Georgetown, Texas (presented July 21, 2026)
MOWW’s CAPT Dilworth Chapter (241) in Georgetown, TX is named after CAPT Robert D. Dilworth, USN (Ret). CAPT Dilworth graduated from the University of Detroit and enlisted in the US Navy, serving in WW II
as a naval aviator. He was a member of the renowned “Black Cats” Patrol Squadron (VF-52), flying PBYs in the South Pacific. For his service during WWII, he received the Navy Cross, the Silver Star, the Bronze Star
with “V” device, the Air Medal, the Presidential Unit Citation and the Asiatic Victory Medal with Oak Leaf Clusters with two battle stars. He served in the US Navy for more than thirty years, retiring with the rank of Captain.
He died October 7, 2006, at his home in Sun City.
