Health Report: Once again I have been busy as usual. Also, before I forget, I will be changing families
on December 27th / 2013. My host-families talked and decided to give me the option to
leave before Christmas or after as it would make it easier because I know my first host-
family pretty well and my councillor agrees it is a good idea. Anyways, I wish you all a
Merry Christmas as the season is fast approaching!

School Report: School has been wonderful, strange to say for going to school but it is true! My friends
are really cool and they certainly help with learning German! In two weeks we have our
Sport Days, where you sign up for anything from Skating in Zermatt and Swimming in
Bern. I have not signed up yet as the sign up for class 3 is on Monday (tomorrow). I
think I will try skating in Zermatt!

Rotary Attendance Report: I am still attending regular meetings in Brig which can be interesting, and sometimes
difficult as they speak in Walliser Dialekt 90% of the time and the dialect is to be the
most difficult dialect of German in all of Europe. Recently we had a large camp for all
inbounds to Switzerland in Zermatt. The weather the first day was not too great,
however, the train to Zemmatt was like a party! 130 exchange students squished into 1
train car. While there I made even more wonderful friends and saw some wonderful
sights! On the first day we ate fondue and had a disco as well as visited the Matterhorn
Museum. The Rotex were trying to convince everyone that the Matterhorn was only a
myth and in fact did not exist. It worked on some people! The next day, the weather was
wonderfully awesome and the Matterhorn was fully visiable in all its glory. We made a
journey to the top of Mini Matterhorn to explore inside a glacier. The trip to the top was a
very long trip in a little box with too many languages all at once. The Galcier Palace was
incredible! Those whom never been near snow before was absolutely amazed which
made for some pretty funny reactions. Overall the weekend was pretty successful and
made for some good memories. With Rotary I have also enrolled myself into an extra
German Class in Bern every Wednesday afternoon and Saturday mornings. There is a
huge test at the end, which my host club of Brig has offered to pay for, where I can
recieve a B1 TELC Certificate. Having this certificate will be an awesome addition to an
already incredible exchange.

Other Activities Report: Outside Rotary I have been quite busy as well! Just today I was snowshoeing with my
host-dad in the Alps above Brig. The view was like a dream but the journey up the
mountain was a long walk. This last Saturday as well I spend in Naters (across the river
from Brig) where the annual Advents Märkt was in full swing! I had some Raclette and
saw some of the local artists display their works for sale. It was more then I could ever
ask for!
