So it has been 3 months so far and I just had a very eventful month. At the beginning of the month there was a fall break so we had no school for one week. For the break my host family took me down to the south of France to visit their family. I LOVE France so much, it is so pretty. We went to a village called Seguret.

It's a little village on a mountain that used to be used in the wars for security. That's where the name Seguret came from. Since I was down there anyways i decided to go down even farther south and visit Caroline, last year's exchange student. She lives in Nice which is one of the best places I have ever been to! To get there I had to take a train from Seguret to Nice for 6 hours. I've never really taken a train like that before and it was cool because you get to see so much of the country in just one ride. When i arrived in Nice it was so warm out and all I could smell was the ocean. When i arrived her mom, brother and her came to pick me up. Caroline and her brother took me to Cannes for a day. We spent most of the day shopping but still saw lots of the town and I love it there to. Unfortunately i only got to stay down there for 3 days. After the break i had an event with my Rotary club. We cooked a huge meal and fed homeless people at the train station. This event i guess is put on every year and is the best one for the homeless people because they get a full course meal. They got an appetiser a choice of meal and a dessert with coffee. At the end of the month my Rotary club took me to Paris. It was really fun. I got to stay the weekend at a family's house that was so fun and i miss them already. In Paris we worked a little for a food bank and stood outside of grocery stores collecting food. Other than that we went sightseeing around Paris, btw Paris is beautiful! On the last day there we went to Versailles and got a special tour of all of the artwork. It was always my dream to go to Versailles and I'm very happy that Rotary took me. Other than those wonderful trips my month went as it normally does. School is still a mystery for the most part but I'm starting to understand more classes. My French has also improved a lot. I can understand almost everything which feels a lot better than being confused all the time. Well that was my month in November. My next month is very booked so stay tuned for my next month's report. Bisous! Derae
