On Monday, Aug 16 at 6:30 PM, we will hold an online only meeting. Our speaker will be Diego Carneiro on the Youth Orchestra of Ecuador.
The Youth Orchestra of Ecuador, Music as Refuge, is a program from the Amazon Foundation which integrates and supports immigrant and refugee musicians and generates peace and conflict resolution, education and community development together with Rotary. Our purpose is to promote a Global Grant in order to acquire musical instruments for this vulnerable community.

About Diego
Diego is a multifaceted artist, and one of the most distinguished Brazilian young concertists of his generation. Winner of several prizes and international recognitions, he received the name of Ambassador of tourism of Ecuador, a recognition from the Majority of Quito, Camera of Commerce Ecuador-Brazil, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Education of Ecuador. The most recent comes from United Nations in Geneva, for his musical work integrating several countries and initiatives with a human side.
