Thomas Ratliff, the former vice-chair of the Texas State Board of Education, will give us an update on what's been happening in the legislature this session with respect to education.
In 1989, Mr. Ratliff earned a Business Degree from Texas Tech University and in 1994 he earned a Master’s Degree from the University of Texas in Austin’s LBJ School of Public Affairs.
For the past 20 years he has owned and operated his own governmental relations company representing companies and industries before the Texas Legislature. He served on the State
Board of Education from 2011-2016. He did not seek re-election in 2016. He was twice elected by a bipartisan coalition of his colleagues to serve as the Board’s Vice Chairman.
