Club Mtg: Meredith Norris on Generation Citizen

Our speaker is Meredith Norris of Generation Citizen.  Generation Citizen works to ensure that every student in the United States receives an effective action civics education, which provides them with the knowledge and skills necessary to participate in our democracy as active citizens.

Meredith came to Generation Citizen straight from the classrooms it serves. For four years, she worked as a middle and high school history teacher in San Francisco, CA and Boston, MA. Her passion for student-driven learning brought her back to her hometown of Austin,Texas, where she now serves as the Executive Director for Generation Citizen Central Texas. Meredith received her BA in International Studies from from American University and a M.Ed. in Urban Education: Policy and Administration from Loyola Marymount University.
