I hope you've had a great weekend.  We are now halfway through the match.   Since August 1st, 112 Rotarians representing 32 different clubs contributed a total of $41,845 to the Annual Fund!

These contributions to The Rotary Foundation will enable Rotarians to advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through the improvement of health, the support of education, and the alleviation of poverty.   #ServeToChangeLives

The Leader Board:

Could this race be over?  Killeen Heights appears to be pulling away from the competition.  Rumor has it that Georgetown is going to make a run at Killeen Heights but they aren't on the board yet.
  • Killeen Heights has increased its 1st place lead with 28 contributors and a contribution total of $9,307.
  • Georgetown-Sun City remains in 2nd place with 13 contributors and a contribution total of $5,962
  • Corsicana remains in 3rd place with 12 contributors and a contribution total of $3,950
  • West Austin has moved back into 4th place with 7 contributions and a contribution total of $3,300
  • South Austin has dropped back into 5th place with 5 contributors and a contribution total of $2,150
My most sincere congratulations go out to the 93 of our 112 contributors who have reached a new Paul Harris Fellow level by virtue of their contribution and its match.  Please wear your pin with pride!

If you're one of the 112 who has contributed, thank you so very much for your generous contribution!  If you're not, well, that's OK, there's still time - the match runs through October 31.

As a refresher, District 5870 is offering the following to any Rotarian who is already a Paul Harris Fellow but not yet a Paul Harris Fellow +8:

Using a pool of Foundation Recognition Points, we will match contributions of new cash made to the Annual Fund-SHARE during Rotary Year 2012-21 on a 1-to-1 basis in amounts of $250 to $500 for any active Rotarian in District 5870 who is not yet a Paul Harris Fellow +8.

Please note:  These matches are limited to one per donor and will be processed on a first come, first served basis.

Here’s how it works:

Before making an eligible contribution, please contact me via email at richkaye@hot.rr.com and let us know how much you intend to contribute.  We’ll establish your baseline and monitor Rotary Foundation (TRF) reports to:
  1. Verify that the funds have been received and posted properly to TRF records, and
  2. Determine the amount of the match for which you qualify.
Send your contribution directly to TRF using either The Rotary Foundation Contribution Form (123-EN) or going on-line at https://link.edgepilot.com/s/31c2d7e6/EhPNWu1o4U_uSFhPOVpNlA?u=http://www.rotary.org/give.  Please note:  If you are going to donate on-line, be sure to sign into My Rotary before doing so.  Once the contribution appears on your record, we will submit the match.

There are a few exceptions.  Please note that this program will not match:
  1. Contributions from anyone whose current Recognition Amount is $8,501 or more at the time the contribution is made and will not match more than it actually takes to achieve PHF+8 status.  For instance, if you have already contributed $8,500 to date, and now elect to contribute $300 more, we will only match the first $200 so that you achieve PHF+8.
  2. Contributions made to any fund other than the Annual Fund-Share(i.e. PolioPlus, Endowment Fund, Rotary Peace Centers, and Global Grants).  While these contributions are both appreciated and important, they fall outside the parameters of this program.
  3. Foundation Recognition Point transfers.
If applicable, please provide me with the mailing address to which you want your recognition pin mailed.

Respectfully,

Rich Kaye
