On January 29, 2022, during the District 5870 Foundation Gala, Flatonia Rotarians, Pat and Bernie Satterwhite were presented with their first Major Donor Award, signifying cumulative donations to the Rotary Foundation totaling over $10,000. The presentation was made by District Governor Beverly Luedke, assisted by DGE Shannon Coleman and the evening's keynote speaker, David C. Forward, author of "The Rotary Foundation: Doing Good in the World."
