7:00 – Our President, Gordon Hobbis, officially opened our meeting with the singing of our national anthem, “Oh, Canada,” followed by the Word of the Day.
 
7:05 - Breakfast was served.
 
7:25 - Introduction of guests, District Governor John Anderson, Assistant Governor Bala Naidoo, our exchange student Franciele, soon to be members Carlos and Gloria, and our youngest honorary member, Olivia.  Sorry if we missed any of you!
 
7:30 – Minutes at the Mic.  Kathy updated us with our success for the Hockey Pool, the numbers are as such:
 
$5240 – Money raised from Royal City Rotary Club
$1780 – Money raised from New Westminster Rotary Club.
$1700 – Money raised from Queen’s Park Healthcare Foundation
 
$8720 – Total raised from Hockey Pool

Adventures in ......
This is the various adventures in programs that we sponsor. They include Adventures in Tourism and Adventures in Citizenship. The job is to liaise with the high school counsellor to find applicants and review applications to choose the participant. The person would work with the noon club and the youth services committee.

Bursaries. This task is to liaise with the high school and select recipients that meet the criteria for the bursaries our club awards. This person would also attend the awards ceremony.

Hyack Ambassador Program.
This job entails working with Hyack to promote the ambassador program.

Stevenson house. Dave has offered to take this on.
 
7:35 – Tony collects our Happy Dollars and we drew our 50/50 tickets. 
 
7:40 – We formally inducted our newest members Gloria and Carlos.  Congratulations and we are very excited to have you as members!
 
7:45 – Our speaker, District Governor John Anderson, presented to us on the vision and goals of Rotary, and in particular, this year’s theme, “Be a Gift to the World.”
 
8:00 – President Gordon Hobbis closed with the Four Way Test and a Toast to the Queen by Rick.
