Some statistics about Holy Trinity's Outreach programming - further to Carole Neilson's presentation
Further to the presentation by Reverend Carole Neilson of Holy Trinity Cathedral Anglican Church, Kathy would like to share the following:
110 guests average per week
85% men; 15% women & children
More than 50% are over age 50
Breakfast cost is $2.50 per person
All volunteers provide the breakfast service
Reasons why guests come for breakfast include it’s their only meal that day; rent absorbs 90%+ of available funds; retired with no pension; recovering from illness; unable to find employment; homeless
Our Rotary Club will be donating $250 which will pay for 1 of the 52 weeks breakfast is served. If any members would like to make an additional donation, Kathy will get the $ to Holy Trinity. Tax receipts are issued for $20 plus.
