A team of fifteen Rotarians from the Rotary Club of North Atlanta, armed with a winning recipe for meat loaf and various sides, served dinner on October 29 to about fifty parents and children at Nicholas House.  The residents raved over Rotarian chef Jim Greco’s signature entrée, including sautéed onions, mashed potatoes and veggies, prepared and served by Rotarians.

Nicholas House is a shelter for homeless families that specializes in helping them to achieve self-sufficiency.  It started in the halls of St. Bartholomew’s Episcopal Church in 1982, and has served more than 1800 families in their quest for self-sufficiency.

The Rotary Club of North Atlanta was founded in 1962, originally as the North DeKalb Rotary Club.   Rotary is a service organization with more than 1.2 million members, who serve their local communities and the world at large.

The Rotary Club of North Atlanta has enjoyed a long relationship with the Nicholas House – one of the Rotarians served the program when it was located in the church.  Rotarian Juliet Reising also served as President of the Nicholas House Board.
