Bike MS September 17th-18th

Our own Rev. John Strickland's experience with the Bike MS event in Callaway Gardens this past weekend
My wife Brenda, who has MS, was the last one on our team to make it up the
last big hill on day two. We had all gathered at a gas station convenience
store so that we could ride across the finish line together. Some were getting
antsy to go ahead, and I said, "If you want to go now, that's OK, but I am
going to wait for Brenda." One of the team leaders said, "No, Brenda
is one of the reasons we are riding, we will wait and all ride in together." Then, Matthew
Tallman, our team captain and a strong rider, said, "I will go back down
and find her and escort her." He did just that and we all rode across the
finish line together. I love our team and that they put the whole ride into
perspective. I am most grateful. Our team raised approximately $40,000.00 for a
great cause! I really loved having Julie and Tracy ride with us. Let's get more
together for next year!
