A "Wine & Wool Fireside Chat" was held on 1st June as a Fellowship and Fundraising activity.

14 people attended and sampled a number of wines, including a 1970s Penfold Grange Hermitage ("not much flavour") and a 1975 Monichino's Vintage Port (Katunga, Goulburn Valley; "excellent").

We chatted about packing and travelling with clothing made from wool, for example,  super light weight Marino wool used in men's suits from Italy and the UK.  We identified a traveller's trick for getting rid of wrinkles: steaming wool garments by hanging them in a bathroom while having a hot shower.

A "Show&Tell" looked at the challenge of finding men's neckties that are neither too short, too long, too thick or too thin.  The evening ended with an excellent supper (thanks to Ailsa Jean).

$230 was raised which will be donated by the Rotary Club of Greensborough to the Victorian Scout Foundation.

(ED A great fellowship night as well.)
