A highlight of the Golden Anniversary was the well balanced programme with a mixture of history, entertainment and plenty of fellowship time.
The five decades of the history of RCG were presented by past and present members. John Mackey took us back to the first decade and included stories about projects and people.
Ray Davies was the second presenter and did so in his engaging and animated style. Ray was also mentioned in dispatches as a keen Membership Chairman who helped push membership into the 50's.
The next speaker in this segment was Joy Ferguson. Joy had the honour of being the first female member for the club and served two terms as President. Joy is still very active in the club.
Jerome Winston was next and introduced, among other things, the concept from indigenous Australian tradition of every when as apposed to every where. David Ling was the fifth and spoke about some of the challenges of recent years and also achievements. During this period RCG sponsored the new Rotary club of Greensborough Central and that resulted in some transfer of members and other attrition around that time. However membership has built again and we look forward to the future.

The entertainment had enough variety to suit all tastes and made for  full afternoon.
Glavier Aldana played beautiful harp music in the foyer as people arrived.  Mareesa Ballao opened with the National Anthem, led in the "Happy Birthday Song" and other delightful solo items.
Greg Champion gave us a solid thirty minutes of his best and insulted the Collingwood supporters into the bargain. Cath Jamison worked her particular magic around the tables and Steven Conibear played beautiful guitar in the background at intervals during the afternoon.
All very enjoyable.
