Tourists in China

My Sister and Niece accompanied me to China on this visit and although we came to make contributions to our China Healthcare Project, we started with a weekend in Beijing to visit some of the popular tourist areas.
Probably the highlight of the weekend was the trip to a part of the Great Wall of China and then to the Ming Tombs. All of this is so steeped in history and very interesting.

We arrived during the buildup to the China National Day celebration and then at the end of the first week we visited the Terracotta Warriors in Xi'an on the first day of the holidays. I guarantee you have never seen such traffic. We were warned to avoid the Saturday so we did and one of our friends told us they did go on that day and it took two hours to get out of the car park at the end of the visit!
