Rotary Club of Greensborough support for Diamond Valley Community Support.

As reported recently, the Board has approved our proposal to link for some community projects with the DVCS.

Last Saturday, our Club provided the supplies for a barbecue in support of the launch of a new Op Shop for DVCS at MacLeod. Four of our Members, pictured, staffed the BBQ with good results.

  • ·        The RCG Members enjoyed great fellowship.
  • ·        The Diamond Valley Community Support volunteers expressed appreciation for the focus provided.
  • ·        There was a strong sense of a first time working together between the two groups.
  • ·        $250 was donated to the Op Shop from the sales.
  • ·        One person asked about Rotary Membership and was told about the proposed new evening Club in Greensborough.

Rosie Bray, Centre of Group, is a Board Member of the DVCS and a community worker of many many years standing.

The Op Shop was officially opend by Cr Tom Melican Banyule City Councillor.

We are looking forward to the next project in conjunction with DVCS.
