Three local Rotarians have recently attended Queen's Scout presentations at local Scout Halls: Beverley Sheppard, New Generations Committee, RC Ivanhoe; Jill Ramsay, New Generations Committee, RC Eltham; Jerome Winston, Member, International Fellowship of Scouting Rotarians (IFSR).  They are currently reporting to their clubs on a local Rotary Scout Recognition Project, developed in District 9790 by members of the IFSR.

Subject to finding dates that will suit the clubs and the Queen's Scouts, local Queen's Scouts will attend a local Rotary meeting, perhaps with their parent/s or guardians, in order to be presented with a certificate of recognition.

Currently, the Rotary Club of Greensborough has the opportunity to host the following Queen's Scouts for presentation of their IFSR certificate:

*  David Hoare, who was awarded his Queen's Scout badge at the 1st Eltham Scout Hall in December 2009.  The ceremony was attended by John Hardiman.

*  Edwin Ryan's, who was awarded his Queen's Scout badge at the 1st Ivanhoe Scout Hall in September 2010.  The ceremony was attended by Jerome Winston.

John and Jerome will be reporting to the New Generations Committee about opportunities for Rotarians with a background in Scouts or Guides to join other Rotarians as members of the International Fellowship of Scouting Rotarians.  Once District 9790 has 10 members of the IFSR, a District chapter of IFSR may be established.
