Rotaract Changeover

What a quality evening.  The Rotaract Changeover was held at the RSL Greensborough last Friday evening.

A delicious 3 course meal was served to approximately 65 Guests and Rotaractors, Rotarians from the 3 sponsoring clubs of Diamond Creek, Eltham and Greensborough. Two members from Kinglake Ranges Rotary club in Brad Quillam and John Leadbeated also made the trek down from the mountain. Our new provisional club provided a table of members to also support this young dynamic club. and guests. 

The new president Michael Shields was inducted by Assistant Governor Pat Miller and the new Board was introduced to the guests.

A  tradition from the previous Greensborough Rotaract club, has been reintroduced. This was to name "The Rotaractor of the Year" a member who has gone above and beyond what is expected in the club.  This was decided by a vote from each member.  The name of the member voted will be placed on a plaque handed down from the  old club.   

The award was presented to Zoe Thorn   -  Zoe is an outgoing member who has been "aged out"  of Rotaract. She will be sorely missed, but she will continue to support the club's social and fundraising events.

Congratulations to all the Rotaractors, especially to those who put in such a great effort for the promotion of Rotaract and to showcase their club.
