When 868 Diamond Valley locals gathered at Willinda Park, they united with a common goal - to
fight cancer. On behalf of Cancer Council Victoria, please accept our sincere thanks leading your
team at the Diamond Valley Relay For Life 201 1.
This year around 35,000 Victorians will participate in 50 Relay For Life events across the state. 35
teams participated at the 2011 Diamond Valley Relay For Life and I am pleased to announce
$115,509.85 as the total figure for this year's event. This is an inspirational effort and we are
grateful for your part in this achievement.
Our banking records show vour team total $2,393.00 as at 3d Mav. Should vour records indicate a
differing amount, please contact our Supporters Hotline on 1300 65 65 85. AS an acknowledgment
of your hard work and efforts, please find enclosed a Certificate of Appreciation for your team.
Funds raised through Relay For Life support Cancer Council Victoria's world-class medical
research, education programs, and cancer information and support services to continue to make a
difference to the lives of all Victorians. It is your involvement in Relay For Life and support of
Cancer Council Victoria that symbolises the hope for all those who have, in some way, been
touched by cancer.
With the 2011 Diamond Valley Relay For Life now complete, it is important that we reconcile the
2011 event. Should you have any deposit and receipt books still in your possession, could you return
these to us as per requirement from the Australian Taxation Office.
Team registrations are now open for the 2012 Diamond Valley event, with expressions of interest
also being called for committee members. This is a great opportunity to shape the future of your
Relay and support your community toward the fight against cancer.
