The Rotary Club of Greensborough Relay for Life Team is now registered and recruiting members for this year's Relay for Life to be held at Willanda Athletics Park in Beatrix Street Greensborough on the week end of the 5th and 6th March 2011.

The event will kick off at 3pm on the Saturday and the relay will continue over night for 18 hours finishing Sunday morning at 9am.

The club at a recent Wednesday meeting agreed overwhelmingly to again provide a team and we are now looking for Rotarians, partners and friends to either join the team as participants or sponsor our team members or both!

This year the club will also be looking to actively fund raise which is something we as a team have not done in the past, focussing more on getting the event up and running in Greensborough. This event has grown since its first year in 2008 with only 11 teams. This year the estimated number is expected to be over 30 with last year achieving 23 teams, 30 is not an unrealistic number.

This year every person who joins BEFORE the 30th November goes into a draw to win a $1000 Coles Myer Voucher.

I now invite all club members (and family and friends) to join up. It costs $15 to join and can be done on line at www.relayforlife.com.au.

Our club of course is "The Rotary Club of Greensborough" and the event is the Diamond Valley Relay for Life Event. When you go on line you can search for our team in the following ways:
