Hi to all Members,
What an interesting meeting we had last week.Connie D’Amore and Mark Leverett gave us a great insight into their lives.
Connie is special as she was born in the year Elizabeth became Queen. ( I have always thought Connie was Royalty herself) Also what a Professional Record, Banker,Grocer,Banker,Carer and Rotarian. Thank you Connie, good to have you back.
Mark Leverett gave a very humerous talk about his education. (Private School,University, looking in peoples eyes.) It seemed Kerry thought he was a Nerd and uninteresting until he arrived on his Motor Cycle in his Leathers. Mark, you are a natural with your humour, and you also have some Royal Comparisons with Prince Charles?
Thank you to Connie and her small team who arranged the barbecue at
Westpac Greensborough last Friday. We do need more helpers with these
tasks. On the 23rd February Joy has arranged a Film Night and we need to sell at least 100 tickets. Please bring all your friends for this Film.
Our Business Breakfast will be on Tuesday 22nd May at the Old England Hotel from 7.00 a.m. -8.30 a.m. and our speaker is Mr Richard Bowden CEO of BUPA, previously HBA and MBF. With the current moves to change the Private Health Covers and Fees, we will hear the facts from the largest Health Insurance Provider in Australia. Richard is also a Health fanatic, having participated in many marathons,and has also recently walked the KOKODA TRAIL. Please sell the 200 tickets we have at $60 each.
Your Board met last night and all committees are working well.
