Wed 11 May

Thanks to Paul Craig and his helpers for making us so welcome at our first meeting at the Baptist church last week.

The ladies went to  a lot of effort to provide a first class meal which was at least as good, if not better than that provided at the golf club.

Again Paul organized a great guest speaker , Stuart Burdack , C.E.O  of Nillumbik council.

Our own Tony Shields also gave a great three minute talk about the world of stamps and rare coins. Who would have believed that there is a genuine coin from the time of Alexander the Great in a shop in Heidelberg ! I also didn’t know that Alexander the great died at only 29 but in that time conquered most of the known world.

Don’t forget that our business breakfast is on soon so keep selling those tickets . I promise the eftpos machine will be up and running so there will be no excuses not to buy a few more tickets at the next meeting.

I hope we can get a good turnout to our next few meetings so that we can get a good spread of feedback on our new meeting venue.

Cheers for now
