This week has been another busy week for the club.

Last week we had another superb speaker in Matthew Guy. I hope everyone who attended found his presentation as interesting as I did. We have been very fortunate in having very interesting and entertaining speakers over the last few weeks and I am sure this will continue. I hope every member can make a special effort to attend the weekly meetings.

Don't forget that this week ,Wed 11 /8/ 2010 will be our first meeting back at the Heidelberg golf club .

Also don't forget the meeting will start at 12.00 noon. I have spoken to most members of the club regarding the move back . Most are in support and some are very enthusiastic .  It doesn't suit everyone, but all members have agreed  to the move so I thank those for their support.

We had a very successful sausage sizzle at Bunnings Mill Park. We have now developed a good relationship with Bunnings because we always fulfill our commitments and have been able to fill in at short notice when they have a last minute cancellation. Thank you to all those who gave up their time and especially to Mark Sefton who coordinated the event. Not only was he able to get a full list of helpers but he was also able to organize perfect weather in the middle of a wet winter.

This month is our first opportunity to have a purely social function.

We have booked Kellybrook Winery in Wonga Park only 25 minutes from the centre of Greensborough.

The date is Sunday 29th of August starting at 12.30. The Sunday lunch is very popular and is normally booked out weeks in advance.

This is a perfect opportunity to invite your partners and friends. The venue is delightful the food is superb and the wines are very acceptable and you will earn many brownie points when you invite your loved ones to a relaxed Sunday lunch and all the hard work has been done .

The winery is donating some wines for a raffle but apart from that is a social event. Hope to see you all there.

See Mark Sefton for details.
