This weeks report must unfortunately start on a sad note. Rotarian Jim Conway's father passed away unexpectedly last week . Our deepest sympathies have been extended to Jim and Betty and I know you will all be thinking of him at this sad time .

I would like to thank all the members who attended and contributed to our club assembly meeting. I was particularly impressed with David Lings presentation on our new club runner system. It was the first time I had seen it explained in detail. As far as I know we are the first club in the district to adopt this system and the more I know about it the more I am impressed . It gives us much more information about club events , makes the nuts and bolts of organising the club , organising events , producing the bulletin and keeping member information up to date all much easier. A little further down the track I would love David to give another demonstration of what it can do. In the mean time I would urge everyone to go on line and have a look at it.

The board is also well aware that not all members have easy access to on line technology and we have planned that those members won't miss out. If any member would like to discuss this please contact me.

All is in readiness for the District Governor's visit which will be his first club visit since taking office so we have promised to go easy on him. It will be an important day for the club as we will be inducting Simon Flower. I am sure we can all remember the day we were inducted and I am delighted to be able to have Simon inducted by the district Governor.
