Thanks to David Ling for organizing the bulletin from PNG last week.

Last week's meeting was fascinating for anyone who has spent  some time in the Greensborough area and we were fortunate enough to hear from two of the most knowledgeable people regarding the history of the area Noel Withers and our own chairman John Mackey who could command a whole chapter in the districts history on his own !

Noel was also kind enough to pass on details of a Rotarian who is relocating to our area and may be interested in joining our club. Watch this space.

I am delighted to see plans are well underway for our major fundraisers, the annual Golf Day and our business breakfast. Please give these events your support. For our Business breakfast we have the leading political cartoonist in the country Mark Knight as guest speaker. He should have a wide appeal outside of the business community and so we are hoping for a good attendance.  It will be the last event before changeover so I hope we can make it a very successful event .

Paul Roast will not be attending our weekly meetings until the 18th of May as he is taking an extended holiday. We hope he has a great break with the family and look forward to his reports on his return and also to find out how he managed to get the time off!

Pres.  Mark
