We again had a great attendance at our weekly meeting last week. I hope everyone can make a special effort over the next six months to attend the weekly meetings . The next two weeks speakers will be excellent. The week after on the second of February we will be hearing from  our  RYLA attendees Jordan Green and David Leverett. I hope we can have a good attendance that week to show our support for them and hear of their experiences.

Michael Shields presentation last week was very professional as usual. It was also good to see Rotaractors Teresa and Kathryn come along for moral support. Michel reported on the international Rotaract convention which was attended by no less than 10 members from the Diamond Valley club.
This was an amazing effort compared to the previous attendance record of 3 from our district.

Michael also announced that he had been nominated to organize the next National Rotaract conference in September and asked our club for support.

To set the ball rolling there will be a meeting of the planning committee on Sunday 20th February
at Tony Shields home at 2 pm. I will be attending and I am sure that any Rotarian who is interested would be more than welcome.

Just a final note that we all indicated to Martin Thompson our support for Relay for life on 5th and 6th of March please email Martin to let him know if you can attend or if you are unavailable.
