It was great to see a good attendance for our first formal meeting for 2011. It's also good to see that we are full steam ahead for 2011.

The golf day date is set and we want to make sure that we get good numbers this year as it is one of our main fundraisers for the year. As you know Ray Lord has led the organizing team for the last few years but this year Graham Trotter won't be able to help to the extent he has in previous years so I would ask that all members try to offer all support possible to help lighten the considerable load that Ray has taken on.

I mentioned last week that  Michael Loy has organized a stimulating program for the next three months meetings. A highlight is Steven Mayne speaking on Feb 23 he is a top class speaker and presents an ideal opportunity for us to show our club in a good light to prospective members. We want to get as close to 200 attendees as possible so please invite any friends or work colleagues as I am sure they wont be disappointed. Start canvassing NOW as we only have a few weeks left.

It was great to hear from guest speaker Ian Hemming about Diamond Valley foodshare . Our club has contributed to this worthy charity for many years and this year our contribution will exceed $2000.
I think our support  local community projects are should be a primary goal of our club and I am confident we will continue support of foodshare.
