GOLF DAY CHALLENGE
At 12.00 P.M. a field of 76 keen Golfers Tee`d Off on our 18th Annual Golf Day at The Growling Frog Golf Course.
The weather was kind to us as it was only slightly overcast with a slight drizzle at the start but not enough to
dampen our spirits and stayed fine until we all had just one hole to play.
Ray Lord and his team, coupled with the Volunteers on the day, (I am not going to mention names as you know
who you are and I do not want to leave anyone out) are to be congratulated on the excellent organization and planning
and as all of those that competed said that they will be back again next year.
At this stage it seems that we will have made a profit of around $9,000.00 including 1,550.00 from the Raffle.
I will make one exception and personally thank Jim Conway who came down from Yarrawonga just to organize the
Handicapping, well done Jim.

George Upton Memorial Trophy ”A” Grade:- Les Woodland, Preston R.C.
Kevin Gillespie Memorial Trophy “B” Grade:- Ray Lord, Greensborough R.C.
Prizes were given for all holes plus Best Four Individual Scores both “A” & “B” Grade, all participants eligible.
I do not think that anyone went away without getting a ball but regardless we all enjoyed the Catering and Fellowship that followed
to complete a magnificent day.
