What a fabulous evening!  Full recognition must go to Michael Shields and his team of Rotaractors.  Michael works in event management and it was obvious that he has learned the skills necessary to pull together such a successful event.

Over 100 people attended the evening with some amazing drumming from 3 young people from Ghana and Kenya. They had the audience enthralled and had 12 members of the audience participating in a group drumming lesson - sounded wonderful especially for people who had never drummed before.

The aim was to raise $10,000 for the completion of a concrete shell which houses 50 young orphans.

Our club was represented by President Paul and me.  A really enjoyable night.

While the numbers attending were not as high as hoped, the evening raised approximately $6,000.  The club plans to raise the balance with future designated activities.
