• Last Wednesday Brian Beers and his wife Margaret attended our meeting.Brian as usual, gave a most interesting talk.Beginning with an overview of the Grand Final (it made a lot of sense). He then proceeded to tell us many stories of his time in Tennis as a player, administrator and radio broadcaster.
  • Mark Sefton and his team did a marvellous job with the BBQ at the Greensborough Station raising $1885.Many thanks to Christine Sefton in particular for all of her effort.
  • Zilis and I attended a meeting of Presidents in Group 1 with A.G.Pat Millar and PDG Rob Lloyd at RSL. It was interesting to hear how other Clubs in our District are raising money and growing their membership. We can learn from their efforts.

  • Ray Davies and Mark Sefton, together with Bill Carter, Michael Loy, Ray Lord and Mark Leverett attended the first Market at Sutherland Homes on Sunday to collect the Gold Coin Donations as entry fees. Zilis and I unfortunately were unable to attend because of sickness but we should all help next month as we can have a BBQ as well.
  • Our Speaker this week is Sigmund Jorgensen, son of the Creator of Montsalvat Eltham. This is a marvellous story about one of the Focal Points of Eltham.
  • Next week David Ling will be speaking on his Adventure in China.

That’s all for now

see you tomorrow.

Regards

John
