 Hi to all Members,

 What a day!  Our speaker could have continued for extra time, as the sublect matter and the manner in which it was presented captured the attention of all present. Many thanks to Fiona Stevens  for her talk and coming from Seymour to deliver it. Her Mother Joan also has a great record of Community Service in the Shire of Broadford.(having been a Councillor and Shire President.) We will ask Fiona to come and speak again.

Thank you to David Ling for being Chairman for the day. Also our 2 Sergeants (the 2 Rays) had some interesting tattoos to show us, after winning the Hunter Douglas National Award. Well done to you both and your Team at work. Ray Davies worked us over again and also emphasized the need for us to get off our ASK to increase our membership.                      

 This evening we had a Picture Night organized by Mark Sefton and his Committee. Well done for this our first fund raiser for this Rotary Year. It seems they made over $1100 profit. Considering only a little notice was given for this event it showed what can be done if we all work as a Team. Thank you also to Beryl Lim and Inner Wheel for organizing the sandwiches.

 Next week IPP Mark Leverett will be in the chair once again and will give a talk on his recent Holiday on a Motor Bike. Zilis and I are off to Fiji and we look forward to our return on the 19th.Sept.
