Hi to all members,

It is hard to believe it is 6 months since assuming this position, a time I have enjoyed immensely. The Fellowship, Humour, Work ethic and Development that is happening is very heartening.

In this 6 months we have had many interesting speakers, both from within the Club and from outside. Also all Committees are doing a great job, which has already resulted in Fund Raising, Sponsorship for RYLA  and The National Science Forum. Our Upton and Gillespie award day was a great success, and it indicated our Country has a future with the talent of all those students present. Particularly Brigitte Duckworth our candidate for the Science Forum, and we look forward to her address to the Club in the New Year.

Tony and Pam Bramley bring a lot of praise to our Club for their efforts in the Projects overseas.

On Sunday 11th December we were treated to a lovely day at the Carters. Cheryl-Lee,Margaret and Bill certainly turned on a 5 Star day. Beautiful Home, Lovely Garden, Xmas decorations everywhere, together with a 3 Chef’s Hat meal. Thank you very much from all who attended.

Our membership grew with Connie D’Amore returning and already involved in Administration and Fund raising, together with new members Andrew Minahan and Pam Fallon. More members are needed and we look forward to having some of our younger family members take advantage of the new Fee Structure.

To the Board, Ray Lord and Ray Davies for their Humour and relentless Fines, David Ling for his counselling , keeping me on the Rotary Path, and particularly to Bill Carter for his tireless work as Secretary. Paul and Dawn Craig have made us very welcome at Plenty and we thank them for making the Baptist Church facilities available together with the meals so beautifully prepared and served by the lovely volunteers.

Please accept my Best Wishes for the Festive Season, have a merry Xmas and a safe and Happy, Healthy New Year, and we can look forward to a good 2012.

Best Regards

John
