The inaugural UP award for Valley VCAL was presented at the recent Awards Night.

Intiated by the Board of DVLC, The UP award is given to the student who staff have agreed most often and most graciously upholds our VCAL principles. These principles are:
kindness, respect, participation, and safe conduct
President David Ling presented this award to Isabella Salas Bull.

The Awards Night was a great success with very good attendance by Students, Parents, Friends and interested people.

The programme was conducted in unique style as organised by students and generally led by VCAL Coordinator Stracey Wood.
The laid back style was evidenced by the approach taken by the MC for the night.

Representatives from the Rotary Club of Greensborough and Rotary Club of Eltham were in attendance and in conversation agreed to get together to consider options for greater support for the DVLC programme.

Highlights for the night were seeing young people receiving their awards for completed work and hearing some of their stories.
