District Governor Alan Anderson and his wife Dorothy were welcome visitors at our Club Meeting on Wednesday 21st July.

It was our privilege to be the first in the program of such visits to all Clubs in 9790 during the current Rotary year.

In a meeting with the Board and some Committee Chairs prior to the Club Meeting DG Alan reviewed the Club plans for the year and presented his vision for the District during his year of office.

High on the priority list is the subject of Membership recruitment and retention. Some discussion of the downward trend in our club ensued and the induction of our first new member for the year, in the meeting that followed, was an encouraging sign.
In speaking to the Club at the regular lunchtime meeting DG Alan commended the Club for it's contributions to the Polio Plus program and advised that we have the honor of being highest donors in the District over recent years. He also commended the Club for general commitment to The Rotary Foundation.

Assistant District Governor John Gatt and wife Eileen were also in attendance and we look forward to continuing to work with John throughout the year.
