District Governor's partner Dorothy has music on her mind - children singing, young people playing a guitar, recorder or beating a tune on a drum - the joy and happiness on their faces.

From the DG's Newsletter Dorothy says:
I have chosen the Australian Children's Music Foundation (ACMF) as my project for Alan's year as District Governor 2010-2011 and I trust Rotarians will join me in supporting this charity as we visit each club during the coming months.

Not an uncommon sight to observe on any young person enjoying a musical experience.
For the participants in an Australian Children's Music Foundation music program, it is more than just fun. These are children from disadvantaged backgrounds, youths in detention centres, indigenous children or, more recently children recovering from trauma experienced during the Victorian Black Saturday bush fires.

Music provides an opportunity for them to free themselves from, or come to terms with past issues, build self confidence and just have fun – an important ingredient in any person's well being.

President Mark presented a cheque from the the Rotary Club of Greensborugh towards this project.
