WELCOME TO 2013 AND THE SECOND HALF OF OUR ROTARY YEAR.

Our weekly meetings recommenced on Wednesday the 16th January. There were only 10 people present but we had a good time of fellowship.

As previously advised, the first two meetings will be for fellowship and The Old England Hotel has been chosen and booked as the venue. They will be evening meetings commencing at 7.00pm.

We have some interesting changes as we move into February with the planned change to a new lunchtime meeting venue. Our final meeting at the Diamond Valley Baptist Church facility will be on Wednesday the 30th January and I hope you can be there as we say thanks for the time we have spent there and as we have opportunity to talk about the new venue and programme.

We will make this a Club Assembly to provide for discussion and to get the latest update about the New Club developments.

We have already made a good start to the calendar year with a productive fundraiser at Bunnings in Thomastown. Thanks to everyone who worked to make this a successful day.

I came across this quote and thought it relevant:

We spend January 1 walking through our lives, room by room, drawing up a list of work to be done, cracks to be patched. Maybe this year, to balance the list, we ought to walk through the rooms of our lives..(can I add Our Club) not looking for flaws, but for potential.

Let's make the second half of our Rotary Year a time for finding and realising potential.
