We have had an interesting couple of weeks.

Last Wednesday we had the pleasure of inducting Francis Acquah into our Club.

Francis comes to us from the Rotary Club of Bundoora where he had been a member for some years. He will be a welcome addition to our team.

Also last week we conducted the reconvened Annual General Meeting which included discussion on the current position of our Club and proposals for a new Club in Greensborough. I have written more about that in a separate article. Club Officers were elected and some Directors. President Elect Connie is expecting to have a complete list for consideration by the Board and notification to District by the end of January. Of course nominations can still be made by Club Members too.

Tonight is our Special Christmas Celebration meeting and at last report good numbers have booked including some "Friends of Rotary". We are looking forward to a good time.

Next week, 19th December, will be our final meeting for 2012 and Rtn Nalin Perera is going to talk to us about his recent visit to The Phillipines where he represented our Club at a function related to a project to which we had contribute. I hope you can make it as Nalin is a good speaker and his subject of interest to us.
